Professors expressed that students read ahead and then not come to class. Professors also needed a way to make assignments due at a particular time.

Results
Prior to full launch we performed usability testing with seven users and were able to refine the feature a bit. Performing usability testing is often a great reminder that that there is no substitute for getting feedback from real users. Post launch analysis showed that the Due Dates/Release Dates feature quickly became the most used feature in the entire faculty application! We use Mix Panel for all usage data and reporting.
